Stage 3 is a demanding 16 km mountain run to the summit of Errigal Mountain, one of Ireland’s most iconic peaks, standing at 751 meters elevation. Starting from TA2, competitors will face a tough ascent through rugged, steep terrain, with rocky paths and loose scree underfoot. Good footwear is essential to safely navigate this challenging landscape.
Due to the exposed nature of the mountain, all competitors are required to carry the mandatory safety gear specified in the race booklet. Upon returning to TA2, competitors will be rewarded with stunning views of Dunlewey Lough, nestled in the shadow of the haunting and mysterious Poison Glen, where the kayak stage awaits.
