Stage 2 takes competitors on a challenging 50 km cycle from TA1 in Dunfanaghy to the base of Errigal Mountain in the scenic village of Dunlewey. This stage is draft-legal, so forming a strong bike group will be essential for those aiming for the top positions. The route offers demanding and exposed roads that follow the rugged coastline of the Wild Atlantic Way. Riders will pass through the dramatic landscapes of the Bloody Foreland and Gweedore region, with stunning ocean views and rolling hills adding both beauty and difficulty to the ride.
Road bike or TT bike is recommended for this stage, with the stage finishing at TA2 Ionad Cois Locha Dunlewey.
