The final stage is a 24 km run that takes competitors back to Dunfanaghy, completing the race where it all began 225 km earlier. Stage 6 features a challenging mix of terrain, starting with a long ascent on sealed roads that gradually leads runners towards Muckish mountain and onto the old Burtonport railway line. From there, competitors will navigate a combination of bog roads and country lanes, winding their way toward the finish line in Dunfanaghy.

For those still on the course after dark, the route will be illuminated only by headlamps, adding an extra layer of challenge and excitement. The reward at the finish line is a coveted Balor finisher’s medal, marking the culmination of a truly epic race.
